Living creatively and giving it shape in clay puts me into a wonderful flow. Clay, that most primal of materials, connects me with nature and inspires me to create unique works of art.
My studios
Zeeland happiness: in summer I try to give form to the power of the lush garden, using the fertile clay of Zeeland.
Portuguese passion: in winter I look for inspiration in the endless movement of the ocean and in Portuguese ceramic culture.
A lifelong learning journey: alongside my master’s in Art Education, I continue to deepen my knowledge of the art of ceramics by working with renowned artists in both the Netherlands and Portugal.
"Happiness is made with your own hands."
Clay connects me with my heart and my hands in the search for the essence of life, and in showing it.
In doing so I experiment, struggle and trust my intuition in order to:
- capture loving connection in organic forms.
- translate endless movement into dynamic sculptures.
- let fiery passion ignite in colourful glazes.
